What is the best time of day to post on Facebook?

For a real estate salesperson, one of the best uses of social media and the Internet is for conversation.

You can introduce yourself, share information, and build relationships through online tools that are easy to use, inexpensive, and accessible to everyone with a computer and an Internet connection.

Like more traditional ways of having conversations with prospects, referral sources, colleagues, and customers,  you want to pay attention to your timing.

According to a recent white paper entitled,  Engagement and Interaction, from Momentus Media of San Francisco, there are times when your Facebook posts are more likely to lead to conversation.

They analyzed the top 20,000 Facebook pages and many thousands of posts, and discovered that while most posts are done during the daytime and during the week.

On the other hand, most interaction takes place on the weekend and in off-hours.

It might seem to be okay that we post during the workday and people interact after hours and on the weekend.  But they also discovered that most interactions occur within a short time of a new post being posted.

So what you want to do is schedule your new posts during evenings and weekends when your conversation partners are most likely to see them.
